Welcome to the forum guys.

Wow, that an interesting engine Serge. Unfortunately we didnt get the GK engine in the UK version of the Mk 2 GT (coupe S).
Did they orginaly have mechanical tappet heads, or hydraulic ?

Some interesting polo's there.

the gt was only in the uk sold with an hydraulic head mh 55 hp engine .
ther is an option to het more umph out of that engine .if you flatten the topsite from the body engine for about 2mm ,evenso get 2 mm from the top from the pistons ,deepen the valve seats in the piston for 1 mm.
flatten the head for 0,3 mm .take a 3f camshaft .tahke a pierburg2e3 carb from a golf mk2 1.8(straight swap).the intake and cylinderhead ports should be grinded .let it run on the original ignition with fuel ron 98.should give around a 80 horsies with standard stuff .imagine with a faster cam what it can do

Well I can´t stay behind:
Basic AAV engine with golf 1,8l throttlebody (motorcode RP) and intake from a GK coded polo engine, grinded for better flow. and the allready mentioned induction kit.
Exhaust is a homemade midpipe and only a Remus backbox
Still to come 3f camshaft and G40 outlet manifold and a G40 downpipe with empty cat. After all mod´s are done it´s time to modify the ECU for the last bit of extra power.

yes that's for the next year.
the trottle boddy's are from a motorcycle suzuki gsx-r.
we combinated with a home made intake,272 or 280 camshaft.
the first thing that we modifited, are de brakes.
the front system will be upgraded to G40 brakes.

Some interesting engine mods there, although I think we are going a bit off topic lol. Think we need a new topic for all the mods you guys are up to
