How much can i get?

Post by owenjt »

I'm planning on going travelling this year so will be selling my beloved GTi :(. What i'm wondering is how much i'll get for it?

It's a standard X-Reg GTi, 3-door, silver, 76k, FVWSH, bodywork in really good condition, alloys in need of refurb. Also would there be much difference between selling it now, or in November when i go?

The car would probably devalue around £200 if you left it til November imo. How about making it SORN so you can keep it when you get back, or is it the money from selling it your using to fund the holiday?

I'd ask around £4200 for the car considering age and mileage

Yeah i need the money to fund travels unfortunately.

Was just thinking if i'd be better off selling it now rather than later, but i'd still need a vehicle so financially i don't think it makes sense.

Probably not, although you will give the potential buyer less room to haggle and a good set of wheels will also increase your chance of a sale.
