Engine sizes

hey jus wonderin if any1 could tell me where i can find all the specs of my engine..i no its a 1.4 but i was looking for more info cheers

Check out www.parkers.co.uk for figures on your car. If its a 1.4 16v like mine and its mk4 (which im guessing it probs is) then it has 100bhp, if its a 1.4 8v then i believe it has 75bhp....

I thought the 1.4 8v was 60BHP? Im probably wrong.

You could well be right. I woz under the impression mine had 75bhp until i looked at the parkers website and saw it was 100bhp. Maybe it is the mk5 1.4 16vs that have 75bhp or something.....?

edit: just checked and you're right all the 1.4's have 60bhp apart from the 1.4 16v!!

In Holland there where 3 versions of the 1.4 mk4, the 1.4i 8v, with 60BHP, the 1.4i 16v with 75bhp, and the 1.4i 16v with 101bhp

ya, sub 96 8v's were spi, after 96 they ran mpi with a few more horses
