They're 14"s with a fitment of 6j * 14, Et 35, PCD 4x100 with the tyre profile of 185/55/R14 80H. Nice combination and also works when the cars pretty low.
Look nice don't they

Which alloys to buy? SE? 16v?
I have a set of 15" (think theyre 15...) alloys of a standard Mk3 Golf. Theyre six spoke, plain and basic. But they suit the car well i think. I only have a bad pic, no scanner or digi camera. But this is a pic ive taken on film and then photographed again with webcam so expect poor quality!
This is also before lowering, looks ten times sweeter now its 40mm lower.

I got em for free aswell
, the only reason i did get them at all in fact lol. I had standard steelies on and my mate bought some 17's for his golf so he didnt need them, being the pike bastard that i am i did not complain in taking his second hand goods from him. I was doing him a favour really. Saves him the effort of selling and having to actually handle money. Which he cant be trusted with anyway so yeh.. *ahem*

I doubt you'l find a mint set of Polo GTI wheels for under £300......so they are quite pricey AND they are very prone to corrosion! so i would disregard them.
The bathursts(lupo GTI wheels) are really nice....iv seen them on the mk5 and look awesome when totally decked, but i am not keen on them on the mk4
The picture you posted up of the photo shop come from the mk5 colour concept, and are VERY rare, so would be difficult to find a set and may prove quite expensive.
Personally if its new wheels with subtle standard look, i would either go for Solitudes which suit the mk4 sooooo well, or somethin a bit different, NOZ's wheels....Le Castalettes, not le castelles really great with a good healthy dose of 80mm lowering
