9n/9n3 polo 7.5x17 alloys, what tyres?

hi there, i have recently bought a set of rather pricey audi tt comps for my polo gti turbo

they are 7.5 wide and 17 inch tall, my question is im looking in to getting tyres soon, what size should i get

a few people have said 215 x 35 x 17 due to the 7.5 width, but im concerned about rubbing on the front, back should be ok as arches are massive

the wheels are genuine audi and are et 32, from edge to edge without a tyre they measure 218 mm, anyone any ideas

what size tyres have you got fitted to your own 7.5j wheels, as iv seen a 205x40x17 tyre fitted to one and its not wide enough, eg, edges of the wheel are exposed

If it doesn't matter to you that the tyres look a bit "stretched", then 205 wide tyres works very well with those wheels. There won't be any mechanical problems with those tyres. I've seen many cars with that combination and none of the drivers reported any problems what so ever...
