Hi guys, right I was bored earlier and decided to take my dash grills off to have a gander. This is what I saw,
What I was wondering was how would I go about removing these speakers as I can see no obvious way apart from just prising them out. Any help would be appricated.
they just pull out. Theyre a bit fragile mind (well the clips are, one of mine has broken. Still sits fine though just comes out easier when i want it to lol). Actually... maybe they twist and then pull.. its late i cant quite remember...
Ive had mine out a few times before now as i was trying to fit some 4 inch.., or 5 inch... cant member again lol, speakers in there once.
I wouldn't bother replacing.
I just disconnected my cause they sound like crap. Tunes playing through the doors and rear speakers mounted in the parcel tray.
Not worth the hassle I would reckon, too much vibration in the dash if ya pumped hard??
i wouldnt say unplud them! Just tune your system so you have the majority of the bass coming from the back in your 6x9's (if you have them!) as this is realy what you want.
The front door speakers are bassy for what they are but still nothing special you shouldnt put too much bass through these either!!
You will probably find yourself more satisfied by settign the thingy... fader? Ive just got up forgive my innacuracies... to the rear more cause like i say youll get more bass from them and a concentrated mid range in the doors and highs from the tweeters which although youll never achievce wholly with just a head unit if you aim with that in sight and get it best as youll find yourself with a decent sounding system.
Here's my set-up, in the trunk the subwoofer, and 2 6"x9" with it. In the front 2 component-sets, with the mid-bass in the doorpanel, and the tweeters in the dash and in the doors: result--> bass in the rear, high-end in the front, and all that's in between, is in between , gives the best sound quality to my opinion
