i know a really good campsite in newquay, been there before.....i'll find out the name, its just out of newquay, they have buses running into town every 30 mins & its near a sainsbury's

How much is the show if you don't camp at their site then? Because their site doesn't appeal to me, but the show and the cars do!!

absolutely no idea you drive past the show and shine, its nearer newquay than the camp site i think

I'm going! (Black GTi - reg Y448 ... if you see me say hello) I went there last year and had a great time, although i agree it is a bit more of a big beer drinking party tent thing than just VW appreciation.

The show and shine over the weekend is good though - this isn't at the camp site, so if you come down for the cars i'd suggest finding elsewhere to stay.

But if you like camping, you pay the entrance ticket for the weekend festival, and you can stay at the campsite for the rest of the week for free. It becomes a lot cheaper when you do that!

Well, Im off now then!

Still cant work out whether this is going to be a complete nightmare (packed roads full of pissed up chavs) or a barrell of laughs (chilling out with some friends in a campsite, playing in newquay and seeing some fun cars - mainly on the sunday im gathering!)

We're going to stay outside newquay and just do our own thing until the sunday when we'll go see the cars, I really cannot justify paying 81 squid for a dance festival when i dont like dance music! (well hardly)

But im looking forward to it, if not a bit scared!

So ill not be on the forum til mondaynight/tuesday....
