I'm reasonably flexible about times, probably around midday I would think. Got a few things to do beforehand, so 12 will be the earliest I'm there. Does that work for you?

Absolutely right - less is more. The only concessions I've thought about in terms of styling would be a front splitter and rear spoiler from a 6N2 GTi, but sprayed in the candy white. In other words, keeping things as subtle as possible. No loud wheels, body kits, ANYTHING other than OEM. Do you reckon that would work? :?

I reckon that's how it should stay mate, GTi Splitter and rear Spoiler would finish it off a treat.

Cheers for the advice - having done a bit of research on your suggestion it looks good; should be a straight swap (albeit I will need some 16" wheels but hey! small hardship)
Tom - sorry I missed you again! I was there early and left about 12.35 - Jon and Greig both looked snowed under and I didn't want to get under their feet. Anyway, I'm sure we'll meet up eventually :D
(Jon was showing me that totally wacky Audi TT...400BHP and NOX! Whoa!!)
Just to mention, I'm going to be testing the finished car on June 23-24 at the Ring. If anybody is interested in coming along, let me know and I'll give you all the info and help you require. Hopefully the weather will be good, and those who make it there will have an excellent time 8)

Would that be the Silver TT with the nice big intercooler?

I did see it on the ramps but don't know anything about it.

...to keep you up to speed y'all, I'm looking at being back on the road by June 21st at the latest.
Thanks for your offer, but Tom got it in one, I've got all the stuff. (Yep, I got it BAD  )
Incidentally, I'm going to try some Toyos on mine, I've heard plenty of positive things said about them. Going for 195/50/15 on 6x15 rims, even with a 30mm drop that shouldn't cause problems should it? (Please say if it will). My thinking is that on Bilsteins and polybushes, if I don't go for something a fraction more supple it's going to be like driving a boneshaker :?: :?:

BTW Tom, ordered front GTi splitter on your advice. It is going to look most excellent - thanks! :D
