what brake calipers?

ok so we need to get Hollie's 6n 1.4 8v new discs and pads!
so we go to Halfords to get them coz my dads got a trade card and the bloke (a mate of Doug's and my dad's who really knows his stuff) asked us what calipers we had!

we went and checked and we found the calipers to have Bendix on them.
so we went back and told him and he looked in his big ol' book with a slightly puzzled face and said that he never seen a german car with bendix calipers! and true enough, the calipers were not listed under the 1.4 8v!

so what s going on here? is the book out of date, or do we indeed have the wrong calipers on her car?

any help is much appreciated!

Let that Halfords bloke try to look it up under the Seat Ibiza 6K types, which are identical to the Polo's mk4, maybe some chap put Ibiza calipers under it or something

now theres a possibility! i'm going over to Seat on tuesday so i shall ask the parts guy over there and see what he says!
