Spacers

Right, after posting this pic the other day

A few people said I could do with spacers, which I'm now looking at getting, what I'm after is some advice on what spacers everyone else is running that has them or what size I should look at going for.

Hey Tom,

Hubcentric spacers are definitely the safest option. The ones to get (if money is not an option) are H&R or Eibach spacers. They do a variety of widths, and are of the best quality. I don't think the bolts are provided with the H&R kit, but the supplier should be able to sort you out with some.

I have 20mm spacers at the back of my car, made by Simoni racing (I think). They're cheaper than the H&R/Eibach range, but they're hubcentric universal spacers that require car-specific kits to fit them to the car. I got the bolts and the locking bolts from Grayston Engineering.

Are the fronts standard?

I found the perfect offset/wheel width was et35 7.5j, this is just on the limits of 'about to hit arch', so won't scrub, but only just. So, if the wheels you have are et43 (i think) and 6.5j (again i think), then in theory you need 20mm spacers front and rear to bring them to this point (8mm would bring it out to et35, then 12mm would bring it out to the equivilant of 7.5j)

Yeah, the fronts have no spacers on them, although I did run them on the front with the old RXII's:

So 20mm on the rear, not too bothered about the front coming right out so something like 8mm or 10mm on there?

put it this way im putting 15mm spacers on the rear and im having to get a little of material removed from the inside of the arch, without they do just catch
