New Wheels
Ok guys, i have had an offer on some alloy wheels.
Set of 16's of a Toyota, going to see them tomorrow.
They are 5 stud like my polo so i am gonna see if they will fit.
Not sure what they look like yet either lol!.
all i really wanted to know was what size tyres would i need on it to match the size of my wheels.
Thanks
Chris

i dont know that the measurements are of the toyota rims but you will need a 5 x 100 pcd and offset around or about 38, will be ok a few mm either way i would imagine, remember, the lower the offset number the further out they will sit etc
ans for tyres
my 16" gti wheels run 205 x 45 x 16
hope this helps ya

As far as I know there are some Toyota rims would fit Polo's. But make sure that you can get spiggot rings for them mate, as Toyota's have a larger bore than Polo's.
Also some may have a very high offset like ET46-50 which may not be suitable.
As for tyres, if your planning to lower i'd recommend: 195/45/16, 195/40/16, or 205/40/16s

Mine were made for a Toyota and the centre bore was smaller than the Polo's 57.1mm which suprised me. The wheels were made in 1993-94. So I got them machined out. It cost me £40 from a local engineering place my dad often uses. Been on a couple of months and no problems so far.AKs_SlickPolo wrote:But make sure that you can get spiggot rings for them mate, as Toyota's have a larger bore than Polo's.

The wheels should have stamped in side it 5x100pcd, and a number followed by the letters 'ET'. if this is 30-40 it should be fine so long as the PCD is 5x100. The bore appears to look big, so you'll need to buy spiggot rings for em.
