Front Aero Wipers

Post by vwdan »

Hey
Am looking to upgrade my front wipers to aero ones.
Any advice on where to go and what ones to get?

Also how easy are they to fit?

Thanks

If you get the flat blade upgrades from www.wiperblades.co.uk then they're a direct replacement for the ones you've got, I've got them and so have a few others on here.

They're really good.

Yeah I did hear quite a bit about them and was tempted but thought I would get some more info

You can get them from VAG parts as a full kit. Are these any good/better?

The ones at wiperblades.co.uk seem quite cheap as an upgrade

Cheers

EDIT: The ones I would need would be "Aerotwin Retrofit FLAT WIPER BLADE UPGRADE TWIN PACK 2 x 475mm" wouldnt they?

I bought the valeo ones from a motor factor round here. I gave them the parrt number i got off wiperblades.co.uk. They were £6.75 each. The kit from vag parts is a full kit including arms. They do look a bit better but cost so much more. Mine look like this...

they look pretty good. a lot neater than standards too.
one of mine is a bit knackered anyway which is why I was looking to change

Think I will go for it

Anyone bothered with the rear aero wiper option?
I dont think that is a straight swap though from what I heard you have to replace the whole arm??

Cheers

i did do the rear aero wiper and it looked pretty sweet but last summer i thought i would take it off and try the smooth look

I was screwed over the winter as my dad threw out my rear wiper motor, arm n blade thinking it was a part of the old golf we had

These are a vast improvement on the standard 6N2 ones, as said i got mine from wiperblades.co.uk Super fast service i got, and just a quick min to put on, i dont see the need in the whole arm thing myself !

I think it would be a lot easier for me to get the ones from wiperblades.co.uk

Looking at the pics, they look quite good and several people have raved about them on here
