ice install

Post by emuni »

hi all,

i have been thinking on what audio to put in my car,
i was thinking 2x component speakers in front with tweeters in dash. 2x 6x9s in the parcel shelf running from head unit (is this a good idea??) and an active sub (maybe a fli 12" or whatever you recommend?) in the boot.

is it a good idea to have 6x9s in the parcel shelf and a sub in the boot too?

lol, i posted a topic in the ice forum but have had no reply so far!

thanks again

ah, so you've amped the 6x9s and you've got an active sub? or did you get rid of the sub when you amped the 6x9s? whats your setup? did you use components or full range coaxials in the front?

thanks ;)

I've got front components and 10" amped sub in the boot. Sounds good in the front but mainly bass when sat in the back. I wouldn't bother with 6x9's unless you're going to have people in the back often. I'd say go for either a sub (active or amped) or some decent 6x9's (preferably amped), both isn't really required.

No offence but 6x9s are not good according to the experts.

Youre best bet is to have some amped components up front and a sub in the boot, a 10 or 12 will do.
