EPC Light

Installed remote central locking kit, (works perfect, took abit of trail and error :S )
any way EPC and check light came on the dash board checked fuses and CHECK light went off, EPC light is still on, not sure what it is, i guess ive f****d something,

I dont want to take it to a dealership to pay some stupid amount of money to find out what it is, soo i ve just got a copy of vag com and i might get a usb cable to plug my car into,

I dont think its the brake light switch, will check though

where abouts is the service port located???

any other ideas what the EPC light could mean?

Service port is behind the ashtray (the bit you pull out to empty it)

It can just come on randomly - mine did. Restarted the engine and it went away

Try disconecting the batt and see if that helps, not the most scientific way, but you never know !

will disconnecting the battery mean i have to re enter the radio code? best check i have it + does it actually work?
the epc light has remained on since sunday but there is nothing obviously wrong.

might get my self a cable for my laptop of ebay later and run vag com myself, see what happens.
