Hi everyone.
I'm probably going to fork out £1300 for an N reg 1995 VW polo, in white.
It's pretty standard, although it does have a slight tint on the windows and has some alloys.
I'm going to have around £700 to mod it up a lil.
Can anyone give me some ideas of what I should do to it?
I'm thinking along the lines of:
New lights, lower it, darker tints, spoiler, d-badge front and back, and maybe buy some new alloys.
If anyone knows how much it will cost to do the above or if you know where I could get it all from, cheap, then let me know!
Roll on my 17th bday! 4th June....
Thanks
Buying a polo for first time
700 should cover u for all of that. id say priority number one should always be the suspension so id go for a good shocks and springs set up for a fairly cheap option of dropping 40/60mm. debadging is nice n easy, u should be able to pick up a debadged grill at a show for much less than you pay anywhere else.
good luck!
good luck!

I've been told that the lexus style lights aren't all that good!? What have you guys got?
I have speedbumps in my area so don't want to damage the body work. I'm guessing lower it by 40 mm.
How would i go about d-badging the back for free then?
Last but not least. Probably going to spend maximum of £400 on alloys, what size suits the polo best?
Once I've got my car I will post a picture up and then as I go along I will post updated ones so that you can tell me what you like/don't like about it.
Thanks people!

most people go for 15's any bigger look silly really.
alot of people have their views on lexus lights on here
dependiong on what your getting i suppose.
the letters on the rear of the polo come of quite easy, i actually made a DIY on it (in the DIY section if you search for it)
i haven't lowered mine so don't really know but when i get some money i intend on lowering it 60 front and 40 back. not to much but enough to notice

Hi...i know its not the cheapest option, but i think everyone with coilovers will agree with me, lowering is very addictive. Its worth spending the extra bit of money and getting coilovers, even if it means waiting a little bit longer for wheels.
And yeah you really really don't want a set of lexus lights, leave them to the saxo boys.
And finally wheels should in my opinion be 15's or smaller, the car doesn't suit big wheels, i think 14's are the best size, but you would prob need coilovers to stop it looking stupid

so much still to learn.....coilovers are adjustable and you can go much lower, there also a beta ride as your car wont bounce around like a piece of s**t.
looks so much beta and will handle so much beta too, springs is just for the look and your never be able to get it low enough for it to look good...in my opinion
