Insane Window Wipers!!

My window wipers seem to have developed a life of their own. They come on whenever they feel like it and won't go off. I have to keep filling the washer bottle up so that I can pretend that I am washing the windows! The problem seems to be coming from the stick because sometimes indicating can turn them on or even going over a bump in the road. Any ideas what it might be and the process of correcting it?

It sounds like your wiper/indicator switch is on its way out.

You'd probably need to replace or at least remove and check/clean any connections on the wiper and/or indicator stalks if they are the problem. Only other thing I can think it might be is the relays in the fuse box.
