it might be wrote off :(

Post by nick euro »

after talking to the insurance and given them a description of the damage to the vehicle, they think it might be wrote off even tho it doesn't look like there's much damage to it but they will see when they get a engineer out to look at it. if they do i will only get the price in the glasses guide which is the price of a standard one and a crap price as its the glasses guide. i'm feeling really down at the mo due to all this because all i did was drive along a straight road with no obstickles that could occur anything but it did.
so if anyone has any adverts of gt's for sale with similar mods could they send me the info plsss so i get back the money i deserve of this bint and then i can buy another and swap everything over

Mate... That sucks :(

Can't you tell them you want to keep the car (and get it fixed yourself)?

From your sig pic it looks like you've spent some good money on the paint etc... Is it not worth trying to get it repaired yourself?

i am still able to keep the car even if its wrote off :) so i can put all the bits on the new gt i will get, thing is the car needs spraying again anyways as some kid threw an egg at the roof and chipped it plus the front end needs doing too. so if i put everything onto the new one and finish the body work and then just spray it all up it'll be mintbut yeh i'm totally down about it

have you thought about chopping the front end off the written off car, replacing it with a space frame and flip front, then installing a heavily tuned VR6 or TT motor. Could be pretty good. Sorry to hear about your car though mate, will be keeping an eye out for ye, who knows you might find that low mileage minter for a 100 beans!
