17" BBS Rims & Koni Suspension

My 2 modifications of the year are hopefully 7.5 x 17" BBS RX2 rims (same as GTI alloys but in 17") and Koni adjustables.

First up, will 7.5 x 17" rims fit on the Polo GTi or are they too wide?

Secondly, what size of tyre would I be looking at?

Finally, if the Koni adjustables go up to -70mm, how low would I be able to go? I'm guessing the arches would have to be rolled?

not sure about the 7.5 it prob be too wide in the 17's i run the 7/17 and tyres are 195/40/17 it lowered about 60mm on h&r coilovers it might be lower than that as no space to get a finger in between the tyre and arches if you can then definately get the 195 tyres the 205 will rub in the front arches and on the rear also.
