Offset question

Have just bought a set of wheels with a different stud pattern so I'll have to buy adapters which also act as spacers. The wheels I've bought are et45 and the adapters can be bought 20/25mm spacing bring the et down to 20/25. If my car is used to running with et38 will this make much difference, i.e. will i get any scrubbing? the wheels are 16x7J and the car is down about 40mm on coilovers.

should be fine if you're on coilovers
et25 sits pretty much flush with the arch. and you'l still have a slight gap and with the stiffness of the coils there shouldnt too much scrubbing
wouldnt rule it out though
