Door cards

i have the plain boring grey plastic crap ones.

what are the 16v ones like and will they fit? (picture of them would be nice

)

Theyre darker, more a black colour. Apart from that i should think they are identical. Still you cant just get the doorcards you need the full on interior or it will look well err.. odd?

how much am i looking to pay to get some door cards that are better than the standard grey ones?

yeh ive been wanting to know this for ages, heard a retrim is in the 4 figures :S Are mk5 door cards black? amd are they a straight swap? I attempted to spray my old door cards but the paint just like disolved lol. mmmm. blacak and yellow leather interior in my black car.. thats wld be awesome

that would be very waspy. Ive seen it in a colour concept mk3 GTI golf and i must say it was very nice.

I dunno about mk5 interiors going straight in. I guess they cant be much different in the back but the front might be something else as the dashes are very very different. The mk4 is nicer for a start

The best place for doorcards and such would probably be right here. Or club polo. Then finally scrappies. Dont know how good the bay would be for something like this! I swear R1CH was selling some in the for sale section. Hes often got things for sale and a good reputation for delivering goods from what ive read in the past. Think his set were for a 5 door.

At the end of the day id say i know getting somethign re-upholstered is expensive but if you want show car results then youve got to be prepared to pay showcar prices. I dont want a showcar so im goign to be tight lol.

The reason your paint would have flaked dude is either you used some seriously cheap paint or someone was lazy in the sanding and degreasing phase. And if you skipped that phase completely then well... enough said lol.

When it comes to my interior personally im looking at taking all that fake leathery like stuff of and colourcoding the lot. Or making it black vinyl finish. Dont want it matt cos thatll be rubbish. Though im thinking about it now and maybe thats not a good idea. Sun might reflect of it and destroy mine eyes!!

Best thing to do is pick up a cheap set of doorcards from somewhere if you can and experiment with them. You got to waste money to make money i say. If you want your car too look good you ahve to be prepared to experiment and waste a bit of cash.

Hypocrtically so i dont have money so am unable to do this lol.

Hope ive helpd in some way. Im raintg a bit this mornign for some reason. Fells good mind.

alot of corsas mind say no more

the grey looks tatty in my eyes, the dash is ok i suppose.

i need a new card for passenger back as someone put a hole in it though lol
