Servicing

Post by polokaj »

Hello ppl

Have a 1.4 16v and was just wondering what is required when servicing a car. Heres a list of things i could think of

Spark Plugs
Air Filter
Oil Filter
Oil

there must be more? also what type of oil would you recommend.

Thanks

check your brake pads and discs have plenty of meat left on them.

shocks are not really something you'd replace as part of a service.... but do check that they are damping correctly.

Check gearbox oil
Check coolant level
Check brake level
Check dizzy cap.

It's ALL in the HAYNES manual. Whats more, it will tell you how to do it. magic.

The mk5 1.0 takes approx 3.5 litres of oil so 5 litres is more than enuff :)
