Hi, ive decided what im doing with the car once it comes out of the bodyshop next week. Im putting 17's on it and i want eibach pro kit springs which drop it 30mm and every person i have read about who has fitted them has raved about how good they are. The cheapest i have found them is £133.57 and £8.95 delivery from euro performance. Does anyone know if they are cheaper from anywhere else or know of a set for sale second hand. Thanks very much for any help!!

i've got my car on the pro kit and tbh, its awesome. Definately would buy again. They're not harsh, yet not sloppy. Just a good balance for a daily driver imo. I paid £120 for mine and collected them, that was with a local firm. A tip is if you phone them up and ask their best price, then tell them you've seen them for £120, would they match it. Usually they do if they can.

I wanna get these springs too, seems £130 is the average selling price for them.

I wanna save money on fitting though, how do you fit these yourself?

Is 30mm the maximum drop with these springs or is it possible to get anything more?What does the kit consit off? The springs and sport shocks? Also how much do you reckon getting them fitted somewhere will cost on top?Ask Euro Performance if they will do you a deal for 3-4 people,im interested am sure some others on here will too.

Its just the 30mm springs. Getting the matching shocks costs a few hundred more.

Its just the 30mm springs. Getting the matching shocks costs a few hundred more.

Ideally you want the matching shocks too dont you?Or is there not much point if the drop is only 30MM, if it where anything greater than 40MM than it would more advisable?

Personally I wouldn't bother getting matching shocks at 30mm drop, not worth it on a polo to be honest - it's onyl worth matching it up on a track or high performance car, anything lower than 40mm and shocks are definitely worth having.

If your going to spend up to £500 on springs AND matching shocks, you might aswell go all out and get the eibach coilies (65mm drop).

I was under the impression that even with the VW approved Eibach 30mm springs, over time, say 6months-1year , it would eventually wear the shocks out (considering how old they were).

The overall ride quality with 30mm springs on standard shocks isnt that great I've been told.

In contrast, I've never had shocks wear out on me with just springs changed. And I've done over 40k miles on standard shocks before.I think it's a bit of a scare tactic to be honest. What's there to lose?

Granted, the ride isn't the best, but wearing shocks out quickly is a myth for small drops on VWs as far as I'm concerned.
