lol - normally its a leaking rear light seal that makes them wet

if its allowed to dry out before being used then they normally recover OK

just seal all the joints in bodywork, carpet, inner panels and you should be ok - they do need ventilation tho

By the way if any1 is interested I have a spare MK4 (p reg) 6 pin central locking motor - if anyone interested check the pins on yours and pm me - hopefully i can be of some help lol

BTW VW finally fixed my car after 2 weeks of pure fustration. Cost me £308 tho

managed to get a new pump for mine as water had killed the old one. i took the pump and the big polystyrene thing it sits in from a scrapper and noticed that it had a drainage hole in the polystyrene on the new one. vw was obviously aware of the problem! ive now taken the extra precaution of completely sealing up the whole area so nothing can get in!! :)
