here was my process for those who asked

DAY 1

initial clean
2 bucket method wash with megs gold class shampoo & megs washmit
dry with autoglym synthetic chamois

bodywork
quik detailer and megs clay bar
megs deep paint cleaner (stage 1)
deep crystal polish (stage 2)
a trusty wax (not megs) for protection
quik detailed car to lose any missed bits and smears
all buffed over with megs micro fibre cloths to remove dust and static

glass
auto glym professional range glass compound ( remove any imperfections and reduce marking)
autoglym fast glass inc sunroof and mirrors

plastics
auto glym vinal and rubber care on wiper arms, trim, rubbers, skirts, valances and ariel

exhaust
auto glym metal polish

wheels
removed and cleaned inside and out of all wheels,
cleaned the arches and brakes
treated the tyres with a 1/2 and 1/2 mix of auto glym vinal and rubber care and instant tyre dressing for best shine

i cleaned the whole insides at work with interior shampoo, vacuumed it and used megs leather cream on my seats

DAY 2

full car got done it Auto Glym ultra deep shine,
did the window and surrounding seals with vinal and rubber care
coated all the door shut seals with silicone for protection and lubrication
re did the tyres for extra gloss using the same mix as previously mentioned

and then to top it off i had to use the car for work and now its been through a filthy rain storm and loads of spray so needs to be done again (that can be tomorrows task)

I take my hat off to you for your dedication! 8)
10/10 that paintwork looks superb. I've just come from 3 black cars in a row and know full well what an absolute labour of love they are to keep looking their best.
