Any help on what to look out for?

Post by Tim_GTi »

hey there guys, i'm going to look at a few Black 3 door 1.0 litre 2000-2001 polos on the weekend for my girlfriend., I own a polo GTi myself so know a far bit about them. But i was wondering if anyone had any pointers as to what to look out for in this specification? Thanks in advance!!

The pedal box recall only applied to GTi models:

the only thing i can say is check the mileage do u know how much mileage the car or cars have? i have heard when they get to about 50000 they have problems with the engine. i have a 2000 1 litre polo myself and i have just had the engine rebuilt gearbox rebuilt new clutch and new battery, battery is an obvious thing anyway but i got told they have problems with the engine about 50000 miles so see if u can check this out and get any background or a test drive if it is around 50000 miles.
