They normally slide in and clip over the honeycombed bits. Have a look behind if you can and you will see what i mean. If not take the whole grill off then you can get to the back of it.

Why you taking it off?

I've tried to get behind it, but cant see anything without taking the whole grill off! Any ideas on how to take it off?

I just felt like a change really...but I'm still in two minds about removing the badges. If I can get the front one off without too many problems then I'll definately take the rear one off...if not I'll leave them both on!

This has been covered before!

4 torx screws above the grille, take out grille by lifting the 4 clips on the bottom of the grille (poke a screwdriver in there), then take out the grille. Once the grille is out you need to twist the vw logo left or right and pull out!

V quick explanation, but it's pretty straightforward once the grille is off.

oh yes sorry i forgot to add that,

its got 2 (or 3: 2 large and 1 small) clips that are attached to a backplate over 3 honeycombes, i took my one off and broke one clip, but the other survived, i was a bit careless, so as long as you go slowly and pry everything up properly it should be okay. its not quite as easy as the vw badge!

Pull the tabs the direction of the arrows. The one going left and right was kinda hard, had to wiggle it in both directions.
