Eibach Springs

Eibach Springs
Ok, think am going to be oredering a set of lowering springs now. Was on AwesomeGTI and was looking at the EibachSprings, will it be the sportline or the prokit springs I will be after? Any recommendations as they both cost pretty much the same?

the sportline kit lowers more I believe

If you just want to lower your ride, go for Eibach Pro Kit Springs, but it only lower less then 1"
a friend of mine said: if you will consider to change the dampers too then go for sportline. because the stock damper cannot last long when you change it to sportline. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
i'm still looking for a set of lowering springs too.... and dunno which i should go for...

Hmmm a would prefer the Sportline springs but if it is going to cos me problems them dont think ill get them.
Dont want to lower my car 20mm with ProKit tho, doubt i would feel or see a difference!

I'm still thinking which springs, seems H&R can lower 35mm and it will see a little bit different, do you think of Koni supension kit? it can lower more then just change the springs.

There are so many springs for 9N but i'm not sure which one is whch, they have different kinds of springs for auto gearbox and manual gearbox, so what is the different between them? isn't it for 9N?

I have the Pro-Kit (-40mm).
It's not only the amount of lowering you gain, but the quality of the springs is better also. "Stiffer", so really good road contact.
I can really recommend them if you love taking corners at serious speeds without feeling too wobbly. Good alternative for the sporty driver.
Price/Quality Eibach is deffo the best choice.

Hey, there. If you have a look at the Eibach website, the GTI and TDi are the same part codes.

They only lower the GTI 20mm cos its 15mm lower from the factory. I installed a pro-kit yesterday and find it very well matched to the GTI, almost like it should have had these springs in it from the factory.

Well, the polo GTI is 15mm lower than a polo TDi from the factory. As the pro-kit is the same springs for both models, you end up with a 15-20mm drop on the GTI and a 40mm drop on the TDi, same overall final height.
It doesnt look that low, 20mm is not a big drop. They feel firmer without a big compromise in ride comfort with less bodroll and more grip. No coilover-like hardness however.

Nope, I had the -15mm sportsuspension also, so I also just gained about 15 to 20mm extra. In looks the difference is not major but imho fairly enough as a subtle lowering.MINTpolo wrote:Well, the polo GTI is 15mm lower than a polo TDi from the factory.
