BMC on 1.4 8V???

has anybody got a bmc cda on there 1.4 8v im thinking of getting one? what other parts do you need to fit it????

well i dont have a bmc filter but ive done my homework...

you need a:
- silicon (or rubber) 90 degree bend that you need to modify to attach the two breather hoses on either side of the airbox.

if you cant manage that then you need:
- two breather filters for each hose.

then ofcourse:
- your flexible cold air feed.

fix each component to each other using jubilee clips then take it for a spin and enjoy.

heres a pic to give you ideas!

Thats a very interesting way to pipe the crank case breather back in i must say! Can you get a close up photo of the bend for me please

Do you know the internal diameters of the breather pipes? if so PM me and i'll price up a kit with 2 breather filters for it

I thought the breather should be before the filter....... maybe I'm wrong here.

I'd have thought so too, so that the filter removes at least some of the crap from the breather pipe rather than venting it almost straight back into the throttle body.

one of the pipes is 19mm ID and the other is 10mm ID

I might be selling my BMC for Â£80 + postage. Only thing it needs is new ducting but thats a cheap buy. Also have receipts for it too. Pm me if interested.

BMCs are the best (though they plummet fuel economy into the ground and bury it!)

Took it off for motd and after noticing the more miles im gettin back I decided Id like the miles rather than the noise

Tho they do sound really beefy

Is that a 70mm to 50mm reducing bend? Or is there an adapter included? AFAIK the intake is 50mm

can someone double check this for me please? a 70>50mm one would unfortunately make each kit Â£5 more expensive

John......see on your GTI, you fitted a BMC, did the silicon fit tightly to the throttle body, cos mines wobbles slightly. I got a plastic type reducer but it is s**t.....let me know
