Stock head unit

Post by Fluffmarten »

Hi, having a bit of trouble removing the standard sony head unit from my 97 mk4, anyone got a tried and tested method that doesn't require me buying the removal keys (i'm skint) or anyone know of a link to a page which shows how to do it, i'm having no luck finding any half useful
cheers

Dont you just have a block connector to clip the new and old ones together?

unfortunately not, had to chop it off when i fit the head unit into my mk3, damn thing was sitting in the same place for 2 years, go to find it, and it's gone, went to find bullet connectors and they'e gone too
so i have decided just to fork out on this:

looks like the same sorta ting that'd plug straight into theVW wiring block

Ah right that explains that then. So now you have the tedious job of wiring everything to the new block?
