Simpson's Salvage is up near York somewhere, I've been there a few times. Why do you want a breakable Mk3?

yeah i was looking through there, and found one i could drive. I need some parts to play with. then i can get rid of it and break it up myself.. (reversing into walls and big stones in the road are my speciality)

Pah, I paid £1250 for my CL when I got it! Mind you, that was over 3 years ago now - before the bottom fell out the secondhand car market.

It wasn't a G40 when I bought it! I think G40s were going for around £3500-£4000, GTs were over £2000 and locally to me the best Mk3 Polos I could find were all 1.0 litres for £1800 or so. Had looked at several £1500 Mk2 Polos in really good nick, before spying the high mileage CL whilst on holiday.

Bear in mind that the Mk4 Polo was the current model when I bought mine, so the introduction of two newer models since then has impacted prices as well as the general slump in car values.
