Juddering from wheels

Post by joshV »

I have just replaced both the rear wheel bearings on my polo as there has been some play in them for quite a while. Only more recentley did this become increasingly noticeable juddering up and down at 15mph ish and also side to side around corners.
Having replaced the bearings there is no longer any play and the juddering is certainly better but still theres a hint of juddering at more like 20mph now. Corners seem better but still every so often I notice it, somtimes it even feels quite severe as it sways sideways and back just once. I've jacked the car up again to check there is still no play.
Anyone know what else could be contributing to this?
I thought maybe wheel balancing (but it happens at lowish speeds) or suspension damping going?
