i just recently fitted the mrk5 rears to my car, when people say it takes a while they reli mean it lol. i put em on and i thought it wos all fine but then rong lights came on like uv just described. its most likely the wiring. take the holder that the 5wires are attached to and look where the wires go. my dad knows stuff bout wiring and he had to look at the circuitry to figure it out. it did take bout an hour to do though

the wiring bay from the 6n2 differs from the 6n. thats why when u put brakes on the indicators come on. i can vaguely remember changing the red and black wire and the green and black wire ( i think). i remember on one of the lights i filed the wiring bay down so it could fit in the holder backwards. this ment that i didnt have to chop and switch wires. its quite complicated come to think bout it, i only managed it coz dad knew wot he wos doing, if it wos just me and my mates i wuda reli screwed up lol. its the wiring that needs changing. when i wos changing the wires i kept scratching my head coz id fix one light and another wud go wrong. as i sed b4 it took just over an hour to figure out.

it can easily be done i had the same problem, but a mechanic that works for my dad helped me out a bit he just bought some connectors that cost £1.30 or so and just cut some wires connected the connectors and they where working fine the left light just needs 2 wires changed and the right side had them all changed but i think only 3 of them need changing around... the problem is that the earth on the 6n2 lights are on a different place, that causes different lights to come up

if all the ligths come on then i think the current may be flowing the wrong way. check your earth and live wires on the lights are round the right way.

It ahs to be the wirinf. if not its doing some serious short circuiting for all the lights to come on. and knowing the design of veedub circuitry in the lights id say tid take quite a bit of h2o to do it.
