Idle problems and gearbox "Chatter"

The only thing I can think it is, is some condensation in the engine. iF you rev the engine a bit before it takes of and almost put ur foot to the floor, it makes an odd noise, but after injecting that extra bit of fuel into the engine it goes away.
That seems to be the only way that my car doesn't stall going to college in the morning. :roll: :cry:

Deposits and moisture in the distributor?

Dunno... cleaning that stuff out and scraping the carbonated crap off the contact points in mine seemed to help a fair bit. Or just replacing them with new ones if you're flush :)

I replaced the distributor cap and rotor arm shortly after purchasing the car, as it developed a misfire. After replacing them, I got some extra buzz out of the engine as well as solving the misfire, but still, the shuddering idle still persisted.

The udle doesn't bother me much anymore, since so many people have this problem, however, the gearbox chatter is really getting on my nerves :evil: but there's not much I can really do about it, as I cba stripping the gearbox down. Just not worth it really.

Oh well :)

Changed the sparks too?

(cant remember far enough back in the thread, too lazy to check, and mine still misbehaves - though nowhere near as much and for a lot less time. Perhaps the plugs are a bit coated with oil and fuel and other gunk from being run with a dodgy dizzy)

I removed the plugs when I bought the car and they were fine. They had the normal brown deposites on, with a bit of dry black (maybe running a bit rich) I was surprised to find out that they were those really expensive Bosch 3-prong ones, and they were pretty new.
