has anybody got any tips for removing the front bumper

im about to attempt it!

Mate i done it last night to sort something, took me a whole ten mins, Just keep all the scrwes that you take out,

Theres 4 either side under the arch you need to take, remove the grill and on the slam panel there is 4 bolts, also a 10mm nut to take of at the n=bonnet catch,

Also you will have to pop out your indicators as there is a bolt either side that you need to pop out.

it aint that hard mate !

Yeah mate, Its a piece of p***, i was going to to a how to for ya, but there is one in the DIY section, its under removing side lights for the Gti, its so easy !!!!
