Vibrating Engine and misfiring

Post by hotboy836 »

its me again, the reset thing worked for 2 days now its back again. i drove the car this mornign and it was fine, got home and needed to go out again, turned the key engine ticks over and i opened the bonnet and it was vibrating violently and the exhaust was sputtering.

how can i solve this? anyone got any ideas, the TB doesnt need t e touched as its already been done and the reset thing worked for 2 days.

any other ideas?

ok haviung doner some research.
Engine fails to ignite at idle speed, runs irregularly and doesn't have a good response from the accelerator.
There is a break in the ignition transformer.
Cause:
Final transistor point in the ignition transformer is in risk from voltage, particularly when temperatures are low.
Service:
Investigate ignition transformer housing for breaks '1' and inflations '2. In order to achieve this, take away the
ignition transformer.
found this on http://www.bba-reman.com/vw_idle_speed.htm

heres my question, whats the ingition transformer?
how much is it?
and where can i get one from?

ive searched the net but i think im doing it wrong :(
