fitting a 1.3 engine into my mk1 polo

hey there how would i fit a 1.3 engine into my polo?

which engine would be best to use and the easiest??

what would be involved?

what would i need e.g. wiring loom etc

and what brakes could i use??

900-1400ccm engines are all based on same crank case so you won't have any problems fitting it

you can use your previous gearbox & all towards front wheels

depending on what engine you had before, I belive you could even use previous exhaust and inlet manifold, perhaps carb....

i have the 890cc at the moment, need something with a more power
was thinking of the gt engine but not to shure how much work is involved in doin so

engine will just slot into the bay

your only probs you can/will have are fuelin forthe GT as they have electric pumps and injection, plus wiring

its all how far you want to go moddin wise

are you talking about gt engine from mk2? because mk1's gt (engine code HH) is carburatour engine (I have a mk1 GT)

basically i need a better faster and better fuel economy engine

thats fairly easy to fit into my mk1 polo without any major problems

didnt kno u could get a polo mk1 gt is that a 1.3 also then ??

yes, it's 1.3 and has 60HP

i know you can get a mk1 GT but rare as fook!!!
i was talking about mk3 as more common.
any mk2 polo 1300 engine will fit dude

i have a 1300 in a mk1 derby so 60Bhp but im intending to get more out of another block and prob fit that

yes, 0.9-1.4 from polo mk1-mk4, golf mk1-mk3 and related chasis, except for 1.4 16v, for it i'm not sure
