Hey guys firstly i wanna introduce myself, im now the proud owner of a 51 plate 6n2 freshly bought second hand with only 2 previous owners. 3 door

The car is brilliant its been driving fine for a week now but the AirBsag light for no reason has come on and i cant figure out for the life of me how to turn it off or reset it or nething.

any help would be much appreciated?

The door handles inside are peeling is there a way to replace them and if so where from?

you could try taking the negative off the battery and leave it for an hour that apperntly will reset the ecu.
One of my mates solved his airbag problems by just pushing all the cables connections under the front seats togethor a bit more. Not sure if it would work for you.

i had a golf TDI before my polo and I can say honestly say I wish I had kept it. Golfs are solid, Polos are fragile :? IMO

there are 4 possible; 2 frontbag & 2 seats. Most likely problem is the seats ( as the front are less susciptable) - wiring harhness getting strangled/ stretched by moving the seats forward & backwards. At the floor pan; LHS of drivers seat & RHS of passangers seat, there is plug & socket that leads to seatbelt bucckle. There is no easy cure, but to check continuity of wires; one or more wires has gone open circuit. I have 6n2 TDI that has similar fate.
if you go to vw dealers armed with your VIN nomber, and ask to show you wiring harness BOLD is for your vehicle.

model -PO; year - 2001; mg- 9; sg- 71; illustration - 972 25.

Checking, tracing the open circuit is not for DIY. Any one of the four sensor comes up as a single fault.
If someone has a wiring diagram for seat belt/ air bag how the individual wires are run would be a great help.

Good luck

Check the dates mate the last post was dated 1st September 2007, chances are the problem has been sold (probably the car too)

All threads are in date order so just make sure you check the dates out first :)
