Getting a new Polo Gti
Hey ppl,
Hopefully will be getting the new polo gti in march next year. Already have a polo and really like it (54 reg). I think im gonna go for the Shadow blue colour, seen a few on the vw website (used cars) and they look really nice, whats everyone else opinion?
I have been thinking about but not sure wether to get leather or not, it is very expensive, around £1300, again whats you opinion on this?
Also im not sure how to post pics on here, if possible can someone help.

The most you will ever get is what someone is prepared to pay for it. I sell cars (not VW, but another well known german brand) for a living and the only benefit a high spec car has is that it'll sell quicker but you will never get your money back on options you put on it. Knowing this when i bought my gti i still ticked all the options, apart from side airbags and 6 cd changer, because thats what i wanted. I do think the gti looks better with the leather though.
Options are there cause every1's different

Yeah I agree with what you say MateyGuv, the Gti looks really nice with leather inside. (see the pics above) im just not sure if its worth pay £1,280 for it. Is there anyway you could get this later on down the line, or do you have to get this before you get the car.
In other words if i get it in the cloth now would i be able say six months down the line to get leather put in it.
Thanks

You can get leather retro fitted doing it with VW parts, although possible, would be stupid expensive. When i have to get leather fitted to customers cars i use a specialist. The leather is better quality that the stuff VW use but the cost is more and you will basically void warrentys on the seats. If you are half way tempted with leather the only thing to do is bite the bullet and get it from the factory. It'll be cheaper in the long run and retains warrentys

No I havent purchased it yet, or ordered it. Im hoping to order it in January so will have it in time for march (the new reg 08).
It will be 1.8t shadow blue, not sure about the leather bit yet, no other options on it.
Im not bothered about waitting for it as i would like a brand new one as im not very keen on 2nd hand cars.
The thing is im just not sure about paying over a grand for leather.
