looking soo much better...sure it'll look even better once completely fininshd
i think the front plate will look better in the lower grille
Well the polo's been re-sprayed
Thanks for the comments guys (and gals) and i appreciate the honesty.
@max, its not been polished since spray, as this is only a temporary coat it makes it more awkward to spray on top of polish. It does need the rear going down another inch, but due to carrying a 12 man tent (not light!) and 2 passengers to e38 i thought i'd leave it high, and even then it scrubbed now and then, it will be lowered more soon though. The wheels are in need of a refurb, hence not much of a shine to them!
@ Tom, the bumper matched up perfectly, then i removed for paint and it wont match up since! Will have a look at the weekend and see what i've done wrong! I didnt mean to spray the filler cap seal, forgot to mask it up and didnt notice till it was being sprayed! Will pick it all off one day!
@ neil, no-ones questioned it yet, and no-one round here even knows what a gti is, so doubt i'll ever get asked! And the wheels will never be changed, i love them too much (plus a lot of spacer would be required for anything different)
@ samil, the plate was in the lower grill when it was grey, i just thought it made a look a little, um, goofy. When it gets painted properly it'll be a flush plate sprayed under the laquer.
@ Bryony, Mine still scrubs a tad with lots of weight in the rear, but it is running 9j's at the rear with a silly offset. I think 8.5j's would be fine, but i'm not pulling them arches anymore!
