Do I or Dont I?

Post by robert.cheetham »

I have a mk3 polo Match. On the side is the 'Match' graphics. I dunno whether or not to take them off? Will it lose it's value greatly? :?

I had stickers down the side of mine, took um off as soon as I bought the car. Used a hair dryer to help melt the glue and make it easier to get them off. There r sum marks on the paintwork tho, but wanna get it re-sprayed at sum point so not bothered.

Ijoined just after the southern meet!!!!! Was gutted. Would have loved to get my mk3 there!

BTW.........Loose the stickers! they won't make bugger all difference to the car, maybe just make it look cleaner and up the value!

Take them off slowly and nail varnish remover will kill any glue left, of you could just polish you little heart out to do the job (after sticker removal!!).

I do't like the idea of putting nail varnish remover anywhere near my paint!!

Use petrol to remove any glue.

If you dab a bit with cotton wool its fine. Never had any paint coming off. Electrical cleaner was greeat too. That's just a solvent. Also, GT85. Leave it too soak in for a min or too and it just wipes off.

I have found the best thing for removing sticky residue left from badges and stick on trim is Autoglym intensive tar remover.
