The 1.4TDI 3-pot is the one to get. It has 75bhp, and has loads of potential for tuning. I wouldn't touch the SDI with a ten-foot long barge pole; it's probably one of the slowest Polo's you can get (however, the mpg is meant to be very good).
I have the 1.4 TDI 3pot and its craking little car it was 75bhp but now its 100bhp its good fun to drive. when you get the local boy racers. in there rovers and there old fords and i can keep up with them on the bypass they look stunded when i go past them and they see the TDI badge they must think its a 1.9 but i wont tell tem if you dont.Tax is cheap and yes its only £35 a year what a result.planning to put a lowering kit on it putting down by 30m so it will be looking better. il try and put photos on for you.
