hey guys..another problem ive got...
when the car is in neutral and standing still, the revs sometimes suddenly drops and the car feels like its about to cut out but the rev drops for about a second then goes back to normal...
anyone have any clue or can help?...
thanks in advance
Revs dropping...
my mk4 16v does this- when it does stall I lose Psteering and brakes
even at constant driving at 70mph. Even happens when coming to a stop a p9ut the clutch down. No1s managed to fix it though when i've spent roughly £300 on it. Even Big Boys Toys spent a day and changed parts to no avail. Could be simple as dirty throttle but if it comes to the worst then a mechanics guess is as good as mine
-Throttle clean or change
- distributor
-spark leads
-cam sensor
etc
Your not alone, plenty of cars ere have that prob. Let us know if it gets sorted.

im gonna try and get round to cleaning the throttle body sometime next week... a friend of mine said he's friend had similar problems, something to do with a blocked pipe
whoa, aint that dangerous for you to lose brakes while constant driving at 70mph!!!
yeah when its standing still, the car does seem to be breathing heavy but rapidly..weird...
ill keep u guys updated

Dangerous? Nahh, just a thrill!!! (in the same way as being shot at)officially_on_road wrote:whoa, aint that dangerous for you to lose brakes while constant driving at 70mph!!!
Ain't happened recently but myn revs around 850rpm and goes up or down when press the clutch or coming to a stop. Anyway, just hope yours is as simple as a blocked pipe.
