Rattles!!

Now why this doesn't drive my wife mad is beyond me but it sends me crackers whenever I'm in her car.

There's a very loud rattling/creaking that seems to come from the shelf under the glovebox and it's on full chat as soon as you're moving. Put a little pressure on the shelf and it stops, let go and it starts again. Any idea how to remove this shelf? Would it be part of the glovebox removal described here http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... box+rattle ?

I've tried shoving a couple of small pieces of rubber down either side of the shelf but this made no difference.



Not her car obviously but red shows the shelf, blue shows where I shoved the bits of rubber.

Anyone?

its part of the dash mate, there are about 3 or 4 t25 torx bit screws under it, just tighten them up, it did this on my 9n3 gti and this sorted the problem

From what I can remember remove the little rubber mat and there will be some torx screws on there!
