Kinda dragged up from way back when

updated with some things I hadn't put in the thread and all the picture links now fixed (photobox sucks for breaking links so I've put all the pictures in photobucket - they should stay there now.

little things make the difference I reckon

but I'm interested in what other people think - hence this thread

First of all let me start of by comlimenting you, it's a beautifull mk4 Polo to look at! I love the black and white look on it, personnaly I'd go for black headlights and black sideblinkers. Combine this with some massive track-spacers (I've got 60mm on the rear and 50mm on the front with my GTI's) to make the GTI really stand out and you've got yourself a charme!

(and of course 16v front and rearbumpers to make it the price-winner it can be

, but that's just me being really critical, which isn't necessary with your Polo cause it's already got a great look)

I've always felt the wheels could do with some spacers but problem with that is it accelerates the wheel bearing wear so I've avoided it

When I first got the car 16V bumpers was the plan but I actually like the 8V ones and I've stuck with them since - I can understand the appeal of the 16V bumpers but it's been overdone these days - maybe

At least get the 16v rear bumper, I do admit that a good looking 8v front bumper can look smashing, but the 16v rear bumper always wins it for me.
And spacers do increase the wear a bit, but it's the same as mounting wheels with a low ET value, and bearings are made to go a long time, so decreasing that time with 10% still makes them last a long time

(i know mk4's with the same bearings after 200.000km on the clock, so 180.000km should be fine with spacers

)
