polo1.4 L 6n 1997

under my steering column, i have two fuses missing, in the second row donwn, and about 3 in. and 4 in. do you know if i need any fuses here and which fuses would fit best please? everything in my car seems to be working though loool. also, do you know what that black switch is for, the one under the the heater and stuff. next to the steering wheel???

Hi,

I also have a 6n :D and am also missing those two fuses. I think they are for the deisel engines or something, but they are not needed.

As for the spare blank (im not sure which ones you mean) the one under the heater controlls inbetween the elec window switches is something to do with the roof - for a fold down/soft top of some description. Pretty rare I think. The blanks by the side of the steering wheel are for the passanger airbag and something else ive forgotten.

you reckon i wud be able to use one of them switches to the left of the steering wheel to be used as a switch for in car neons??

Thats what ive done!!!

Well, not for neons, but similar. Ive used two rear screen heater switches, which I got off the scrappies, for various things arround the car as they are straight on/off. Ive used the first one to hard wire inany my satnav charger and the second to turn driving lights on or off. It looks a bit weird having three rear window heater switches on the dash, but they work!

If you want any help on the wireing for them, just ask.

U can do, but its a bit of a drive from where u are. Im in bristol at the mo but ur welcome to come down and stay if u want! If not Ill try and take some pics of the wireing to help u out.

ar sound! ill drive to ya then. wont bee. for about 8 weeks yet. gota save up. and im having nma car stripped out soon. and building a custom subb box where the back seats are. then me and you could wire some neons up inside my car like nder the doorwells, and the foot parts if your nterested. but it wont be for a few months yet m8.
