Anybody in or around Bristol...

Post by CraigMK4 »

I received my coilovers yesterday, and the price i have been given for fitment is £80. Is this a good price, and where is best to get the camber etc. done afterwards, as the garage can't do this. Any advice is appreciated, cheers.

I'm in bristol when i'm not at uni. If I can, I only take my car to one garage. It's the VW & Audi Centre (independant specialist) in Stonehouse (near Stroud).

They've run a lot of VW race cars (mk3 golf & jetta, mk5 golf, beetle rsi, scirocco etc etc) and there's a dropped mk1 golf that i think belongs to one of the guys who works there.

They should be able to sort you out! Bear in mind they do get booked up. They're probably not the cheapest but you get what you pay for...

£80 seems to be the usual price, usually if the springs are seperate from the shocks it costs more. I only got a discount from £80 to £60 because I knew the owner. Don't live in Bristol though
