ARGH! Coilovers :(

Had my alloys and coilies fitted yesterday, everything was in order, the only problem was the shocking ride quality - this was apparently down to the fact the camber, alignment and tracking needed doing still, and the suspension needs to settle in. SO i take it to protyre this morning, theres my 6n in all its glory on the ramp, until i see the mechanic shaking his head, only to tell me one side is bloody higher than the other! WTF!!! 10mm higher to be precise! So i rang the garage who fitted my coilovers, and they got pissy WITH ME as this was clearly my error, and told me to come in on thursday to have the height adjusted. What a waste of a day! Has anybody else experienced this? And how long does the suspension take to 'settle in'? Cheers.

Don't worry easy mistake to make; not that i'v known anyone to make it!!!

Don't sort out the camber/tracking/alignment out yet. If the suspension hasn't settled then its a waste of time and money. Give it 2 weeks I guess and then sort all that out.

you can change the height yourself..

wait at least a week for them to settle.

Job you can do in an hour (including the cup of coffee, or tea, whatever you prefer) before AND after the works

Yeh i know i can do the height myself, but level surfaces are rare round where i live lol, and tbh, if i've payed someone to do it, i want them to do it properly! They've booked me in for next week, so it'll all be sorted then. I'll get some pics up too, see what you guys think!

If you paid them the last time they done it but it wasn't level then go back. Otherwise do it yourself. Don't fear getting it unlevel. Just measure it before you start and take a note of how far the car sits from the ground
