Quick Pics - TT Comps Fitted

Post by Jeff GTi »

i will obviously get better photographs when the new tyres are on and the car is clean when its a nice day but heres a couple for now,

i have decided to get some different new tyres and lose the nankangs, i have settled on proxes t1 r for reasons of my own, these being needing a 205 tyre to go over a 7.5j wheel without the stretched look as i dislike it, i need a rim protector to get the tyre edge level to the wheel edge, and needing good tyres for confident all round driving on my budget of £300 supplied fitted valved and balanced

so, i have 4 nankang ns2 205/40/17 tyres for sale, v rated with a 84 weight rating, have covered a huge 8 miles, looking for £120 collected or buyer arranges postage

absolutely made up with the tt's, well worth the long journey this morning, heres 2 QUICK shots of the in place

luuuuuuuuuurvely.

I know you said a month or so ago that "TTs were common", but that's for a bloody good reason

stunning

have you prced up BF Goodrich tyres? I have 205s on mine and they have a small protector, less stretch and are very good grip-wise (both wet and dry). Also have had no issues with uneven wear and have done way over 12k with not much wear.

no mate i aint, i have just seen proxes fitted to ste's tt 6 spokes and they are out over the wheels slightly and dont look stretched so iv opted for them

toyo even state they are fine for up to 8" wheels so should be fine on my 7.5's

The BFs in 205 are slightly proud of the wheels, just a little bit.

Pure sexyness!!

I like a lot. I'm currently looking for a 9N3 Gti, and was almost set on a red 5dr with sat nav which i've seen for a very good price.......but seeing your black 3dr, think i'll be tempted to pay extra for that instead! 8)

two I have to hand:

not the best pictures. the tyre certainly won't protect too well if you parallel park and cock it up, but it will protect better against potholes and general road nastiness....

They look sweet as.
Sorry guys a bit OT but could you run a 215/40/17? instead of the 205? or does this rub?
