oil light and intermittant stalling

i imagine this would be a sensor of some sort, but this is the problem

when driving, sometime the oil starts to flash and beep, the rev counter drops to zero but the actual revs are fine.
then after anythign between 10 secs to 10 minutes the the car just stalls for no reason, whether you are driving or stopped

you have to turn it off and on again to start it properly, and then its fine again. It does have plently of oil in too

any ideas would be greatly recieved!

Oil pressure sensor may be nackered, the reason the revs drop is to protect the engine!!

Get a VAG COM on it to check out the fault.
