Iv sprayed my rears but it leaves a kinda matt finish now theres 2 options iv been suggested to get around this and im not fully sure how either of these two turn out but

1) Spray with tint spray ( Like i had to do this build up layer after layer very slowly so the paint does not run.) then laquer after wards to give a shiny finish but i would have thought this would give alot of glare.

or 2) apperently alot of people use the film tinting strips then build up a lyer of the spray after wards to kinda seal them in as i would have thought the film would be quite weak against the elements.

But ask others advice before taking mine afterall it is word of mouth i have heard these two options.

Well in that pic the front Lights are just the Lense covers that have been itinted, not the actual lights. The pic of that guys car you got there is selling them on ebay as he's smoothed of the side repeaters. so he doesnt need them anymore I'll get you the link in a sec. However as they are just covers when M.O.T time comes along you can jst pull them off!!

There you go the link..Just read your post again, didnt see the bit where you had morrette's . I guess you could always go back to standrad lights and put these covers on  but i'm not sure if it is legal to tint your headlights as i think that would be obstucting some of the light. Dont take my word for it though i'm just guessing!!

I got the idea and picture from seeing the lenses on EBAY.

Only prob is if i buy the lens.. then it will hide the morrete headlights....which would be a shame.

I dont know what to do.. i really think the tinted lens looks cool, but want to have a custom one for the morrete headlights.... where would i go to get one.. if it proves too difficult to make???

Ok.....

The idea i have, is put a layer of clean film over the light first....

THen spray a thin layer of black tint over the light...

Then go to crazy with clear lacquerer.

Only PROBLEM... is i will probably have to take it off whenever i want to have a M.O.T??

Forget that idea....

I will use as fibreglass kit i have... and lay the thin strips over the light... let that solidify... and then take it off and spray the fibre glass... and then stick it on top of the light... then i can always take them off easily and put them on.

i seem to remeber the reflectors can't be tinted but the lights can? I reckon you could have a go with tinting film if you used a heat gun or hairdryer to mould it over the shape, although youd still probably get creases. I bet a tinting shop wouldnt charge that much to do them.

Tinting your rear lights normally ain't a problem with MOT's you need to find a local garage that does them and get friendly it may cost you a bit now and again but save a hell of alot when it comes to removing mods come MOT day.

Couldnt you stick lenses inside the morrettes.

I mean there round and raised cut some tinted perspex and it'd look like big black evil eyes.

pretty peng and individual i shuold think.
